Edmond James Fitzgerald
Edmond J. Fitzgerald was born in Seattle in 1912. He studied art at the California School of Fine Arts and with Mark Tobey and Eustace Ziegler in Seattle.
Fitzgerald served 26 years in the United States Naval Reserve. He commanded an LST in World War II and has had numerous combat art assignments.
The artist is a past president of the Allied Artist of America and the American Watercolor Society. He is also a member of the Salmagundi Club, The Artist's Fellowship and the National Society of Mural Painters. He is the author of "Painting and Drawing in Charcoal and Oil" and "Marine Painting in Watercolor".
