Hanalei Bay, Kauai seen from the beach. Most of this shoreline no longer exists as seen here due to wave action over last few decades. A Hawaiian home is nestled under the palms in the lower left side of the work in the middle ground and the artist has highlighted this area and the sand along the shore in front of the structure. A strong and confident work by Hitchcock, painted during the prime of his power.
